Анотація

Проведено аналіз добірки наукових публікацій вітчизняних і закордонних авторів щодо відомостей про анатомічну будову та ембріологічні дослідження нижньої щелепи людини з визначенням перспектив їхнього продовження на сучасному етапі морфологічної науки. Відзначено, що до теперішнього часу не досить повно і чітко представлене в літературі питання вікової та статевої мінливості нижньої щелепи, а деякі відомості щодо її морфології залишаються дискусійними до теперішнього часу.
